CORK WINE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES NEW EVENTS, NEW DATES
SHEVEPORT, La – The 4th Annual CORK Wine Tasting Festival is slated for Saturday, April 4 from 3p to 6p at Festival Plaza, Downtown Shreveport. Tickets for this year’s CORK festivities are on sale now, just visit www.corkwinefestival.com.
CORK is a Red River Revel Wine Event, presented by Eldorado Resort Casino – with all proceeds going to benefit The Red River Revel Arts Festival. Begun in 2006 as a one day event, CORK continues to grow every year.
According to John Hubbard, President of the Cork Committee, “CORK sells out each year, so I encourage those wanting to come and experience some wonderful wine and outstanding food – to purchase their tickets now! Just have your credit card ready and go to our website. 80 wonderful wines will be poured during CORK’s Afternoon Wine Tasting Festival which will feature live music and delicious samplings from the area’s finest eateries. One exciting change we’ve made for this year is that our Premier Wine Tasting Evening will be a seated dinner at The Vintage at Eldorado Resort Casino with black tie optional. This is going to be an evening to remember with remarkable cuisine paired with premier wines – and a live auction”.
For the wine enthusiast in us all, CORK is offering several wine tasting seminars to provide knowledge on everything from the correct glass to a grape’s influence on the taste of great champagne.
Seating for the seminars (50 persons per) and Premier Wine Dinner (100 persons) is limited and those interested are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Tickets for all CORK activities are available at www.corkwinefestival.com .

• Spend an unforgettable evening at Eldorado Resort Casino! Enjoy a pre-dinner Champagne Hour from 6-7 pm in the Celebrity Lounge, followed by a delectable five-course meal at The Vintage from 7-9 pm. This elegant dinner will pair delicious foods with the appropriate wines. An exciting live auction will help make this an evening to remember.
Wine Seminars ● Saturday, April 4 ● 1-3 pm
1 pm: Wine 201 – The art of tasting fine wines, $25
1 pm: Riedel Comparative Wine Glass Tasting – Learn to choose the right
glass for the right wine, $90 – each attendee receives set of 4 Riedel Wine Glasses
*New* 2 pm: Champagne Tasting – Expand your knowledge of all things Champagne, $50 – each attendee receives a complimentary champagne flute

CORK Wine Tasting Festival ● Saturday, April 4 ● 3-6 pm
• Wineries and wholesalers will feature 80 different fine wines at this unique, outdoor festival at the Pavilion at Festival Plaza. Patrons will enjoy live music while tasting delicious wines and sampling delicacies from the area’s finest eateries. Most wines being poured will be available for retail sale.
• Premium winemakers from around the country will be available to offer advice, answer questions and discuss fine wines. Patrons will also receive a signature CORK wine glass and everything they’ll need for a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting. Valet parking will be available.
Only 1600 tickets at $65 each will be sold.
