Helen Black Named Dir. of Community Development
Shreveport, LA ----- Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Helen Black as Director of Community Development. Helen has earned a sterling reputation for her community involvement, which will serve her well as the face of Eldorado. Helen will represent the property by participating in professional organizations and serving on various community boards.
Helen will also recruit Eldorado employees to participate in area outreach projects. Says Mrs. Black, “It is very important to Eldorado that we give back to our community. This is where our over 1,400 employees live and raise their families, and it is in all of our best interests to continually work toward making it better.”
Helen brings to her position a background in banking, education, and gaming. She has served as president of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and the Bossier Parish Community College Foundation, as well as on the boards for the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce. Helen is a Bossier Athena Award winner, March of Dimes Citizen of the Year, and YWCA 10 Best Dressed recipient.
